Summary
Blumenteppich does not have accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind, and it does not operate a backend server. Everything the app needs — every town, pattern, level and piece of writing in the Almanac — ships inside the app itself and is stored only on your device. We, the developer, never receive, see or store any of your data on our own servers, because we don't run any.
What is stored, and where

Camera and photo library
If you choose "Take a photo" to add a picture to your Street Album, the app asks for camera access at that moment and uses it only to capture that photo. If you choose a photo from your library instead, the system's own picker is used, which does not give the app access to your library — you simply hand it the one photo you pick. If you choose "Save to Photos" on a carpet or album photo, the app asks for add-only permission so it can save that one image, without being able to read your existing photos.
Notifications
Blumenteppich can remind you about an upcoming carpet night if you switch reminders on in Settings. These are local notifications scheduled on your device; we do not use a push notification service and nothing about your reminder preference is sent anywhere.
In-app web view
Each town's page in the Almanac has a button to open that town's own official tourism website, shown inside the app so you never have to leave it. That site is operated by the town itself, not by us, and is subject to its own privacy policy, which you should check if you're concerned about what it collects. Opening it requires an internet connection; the rest of the app does not.
Data we do not collect
- No account or sign-in information, because the app has none
- No analytics, usage tracking or crash-reporting SDKs
- No advertising identifiers and no advertising of any kind
- No location data
- No data shared with third parties, because none is collected to share
Children's privacy
Blumenteppich does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information from any user at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "last updated" date below. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
